December 1999
BORN IN THE USA!

I think December was the most eventful month of my entire life.

The main event - I turned ONE YEAR OLD! My first birthday was on December 16th, and I celebrated it with mom and dad in the USA.
Which leads us to the other main event - Mom and dad and me spent most of December in the United States. We went there on vacation (yes, being a baby can be a very tiring job...) , and mom went to see her friend Leslie get married.

We have a lot of pictures from the USA - dad got a new digital camera from grandpa, so he and mom took plenty of pictures. This page is about the whole trip, and it has over 30 pictures in it, so please be patient while it loads!

On to the trip! and Sorry if I get any of the dates, or names, wrong - after all, I'm just a baby, and I was pretty jet-lagged too.

Our long flight to the USA was on December 3rd. We spent the whole week before that getting ready for the trip:

I listened carefuly as mom and dad explained about the USA...

And I decided the place sounds like fun! So...

I had some lunch

And I let mom and baby-X have some too

We tested the new camera

I said bye-bye to Etti (she's the nice woman who takes care
of me in the morning, when mom and dad are away)

And we even took a bath!

And off we were to New-York. First we stayed with Mom's relatives, Irving and Marion Levin.

This is me in their house. They had a playpen just for me!

Me and mom cruised the streets of NY in my new stroller

We went to the Children's Museum and the Dr. Seuss playroom,
where I had tons of fun causing damage to the displays :)

We also hanged out with mom's friend Leslie,

And with Nancy too, who had an interesting little
baby for me to play with.

I LOVE NEW YORK!

But before I knew it it was December 6th, and we were on our
way to Connecticut. This is me and mom on the train.

In CT we stayed with dad's aunt Ruti. That's her holding me,
with her mother-in-law Rena.

And here we are again!

Going for a walk in Florida We arrived there on December 10th.

That's me at the safari!! Looking nervously at the "big dog".

But he can't reach me, because I am safe in the car!!

Look! animals with stripes!

In Florida, we stayed with Herman and Lorraine Belmont.

That's mom and me in their back yard

That's me and mom with my favourite animals - "Ga-Ga"s. I just love ducks,
I can recognize a duck from a mile away and say "Ga-Ga" (which is
Hebrew for "Quack"). This is my first encounter with a real live Ga-Ga.

These are Lorraine and Herman, dad, mom and myself.

On December 14th we went back to New-York, where
we met dad's friend Zohar!

And then it was time for the big event - MY BIRTHDAY!

We celebrated in New-York, with Irving, Joni, Sarah,
and her brothers Zachari and Sam!

Irving handed me the cake so I can blow out the candles...

But I was kinda scared...

On December 18th we went to Long Island, and mom's friend Leslie got married! Congratulations Leslie!

These are Bashee, Al and Ester, mom's relatives from Long Island.

On December 21st it was time to go home. Grandpa Menachem picked us up
from the airport, and grandpa Shimshon waited for us at home.

I had a great time on this trip. Everyone said I was a great baby, and I behaved real nice. Me and mom and dad want to say a big THANK YOU to all the families who hosted us, to our friends who showed us around and made us feel welcome, and to everyone who was somehow involved in this trip. We had a wonderful time, and we hope you enjoyed us too.
